applied office tips : July 2006

  July 2006

Dear Readers,

Welcome to the July 2006 edition of Applied Tips.  I've changed the format to be more concise and let you get straight to the articles that you're interested in.

This month you'll find help with one of Word's most useful features -- the Mail Merge.  I also talk about more efficient ways to use Google and how to protect your PowerPoint slides using a password.

Those of you who have enjoyed previous Applied Lunches workshops at the Lodi Chamber of Commerce will be thrilled to know that six more sessions have been scheduled before the end of the year.  Check out the upcoming classes.

I would like to invite my readers that use MSN Messenger (or Windows Messenger) to add me to their contact lists.  If you have a quick question and need help, feel free to drop me a line.  Just add "" and say hello.

Troubled by spam?  One of my clients is MX Resources, a reseller of the award-winning Postini junkmail filtering service.  If your current spam filtering isn't working, visit the MX Resources website (which I designed) and give Matthew a call.

Enjoy the newsletter, and please send your feedback and questions.  Sincerely,

-David Diskin
