applied office tips : November 2006

  November 2006

Dear Readers,

With the year wrapping up and everyone's minds thinking about turkey and end-of-year goals, I've kept November's issue of Applied Tips brief with a handful of shorter articles.

In Word I demonstrate how to add page numbers and line numbers to your documents in just a few clicks.  In Excel I show an easy way to insert simple diagrams like org charts and pyramids to your spreadsheet.  In PowerPoint I start a two-part article on broadcasting your presentation online, and in Access I walk through the basic steps of importing data from other applications like Outlook and Excel.

Outlook's article covers a way to identify special emails with priority codes, but also catch the special feature on writing effective emails.

Thanks for reading this month's newsletter, and happy holidays!

Here's what I've put together for you this month:

  where are the classes?

There aren't any classes planned for December.  But, classes are now being planned for 2007.  Email me and let me know what you'd like to see, and where.
