applied office tips : September 2006

  September 2006

Dear Readers,

The tips keep coming!  This month's issue of Applied Tips has something for everybody, but probably most important is a fun and fast article that gets you thinking about your password.  How good is it?  Take the test and find out.

For our Word-using professionals, an advanced look at Find and Replace will show you some new tricks that I'm willing to bet you never thought were possible.  Experts only!

In my Excel column I show you some shortcut keys and helpful tricks that will undoubtedly save you time.  This coincides with an upcoming Applied Lunches workshop on Excel in November.

In Outlook I'll cover sharing tasks with others.  In PowerPoint, we'll learn how to add music to our slides.  And in Access we'll dig into password-protecting our data and keeping unwanted people out.

Congratulations to last month's winner of a free 512 MB USB Flash Drive, Sandra Brage of the Lodi Public Library!  Thanks to everyone who completed my survey.

Are you in the Sacramento or Stockton area and want me to offer some workshops?  Let me know!  Email me and tell me what you want and where.

I hope you enjoy the newsletter, and please use the links on this page to forward it to your fiends and coworkers.

Sincerely,

-David Diskin
