 applied tips :
may 2009
Welcome to another issue of Applied Tips! As more people
convert to the new Microsoft Office 2007, I have been including more
information about features unique to the new version. But don't
worry -- that I won't be ignoring the thousands of readers that are
still on prior versions of Office. Users of Office 2003 and
2007 will find useful articles in Applied Tips and will continue to
do so until the demand for Office 2003 dwindles.
Here's what I've written for you this month:
- Outlook: Learn how to categorize your incoming email, and
automatically color it based on its contents. This is a new Outlook
2007 feature.
Read!
- Word: Trouble positioning photos alongside
your text? This in-depth article on picture positioning is all you'll
need -- regardless of which version of Word you're using. Read!
- Excel: Create a pull-down menu right in a cell for easier
data entry and accuracy in any version of Excel.
Read!
- PowerPoint: Learn how easy it is to add a simple chart in
PowerPoint 2007.
