Back by popular demand, over thirty new classes have been scheduled for the Spring 2012 season!

Brush up on your Office 2007 skills, or learn something new.  Enroll today in any of these hands-on classes and become more efficient with the software you use every day... Microsoft Office.

All classes are held at the beautiful University of the Pacific in their new Continuing Education facility on March Lane, in Stockton, CA.

  Feb 29 (Wed) Intro to the Computer and Microsoft Windows 7 10:00AM - 12:00PM **** Call *
 

For first-time computer users, this class demonstrates the most basic computer concepts including powering it on, shutting it down, and using the mouse. Useful keyboard keys will be discussed, along with basic typing fundamentals including backspace and delete, using the Enter key, arrow keys, and more. Discover the difference between left- and right- clicking, drag-and-drop, and the double click.

  Feb 29 (Wed) Digital Photos: Editing and Sharing 1:00PM - 3:00PM **** Call *

In this hands-on class you will get professional tips to improve your digital photography, edit photos, and share them with others. After a short discussion on equipment and technique, the process of transferring photos to the computer is demonstrated. Then, the class will remove red eye, resize and crop, adjust color, and see how to upload their new photo album to sharing sites such as Flickr and Facebook. Creating prints, clothing, and calendars will also be discussed.

Attendees will be shown how to use the internet in this hands-on class. We will discuss using Internet Explorer to access web pages, bookmark your favorite sites, set your homepage, and more. We will cover how to search the internet using Google and Bing and get directions from Google Maps.

Scared to go online because of hackers and viruses? Don’t be. This class about online safety covers the basics including avoiding viruses and spyware, avoiding junk mail, being smart about your password, and preventing security breaches. Learn and ask questions about WiFi access, pop-up ads, updating your anti-virus software, and more.

If you’re ready to join the social network, this hands-on class will bring you there. Find out how to join Facebook and communicate with your long-lost friends, family, and co-workers. Customizing your profle, uploading photos, and creating an event will all be demonstrated. To participate, you must be able to access your email or existing Facebook account.

This hands-on class covers the basics of writing, editing and formatting a document using Microsoft Word 2007. Topics include saving your work, printing, checking for spelling, copy and pasting, and page layout options.

  Apr 11 (Wed) EBay: How to Sell Your Stuff 10:00AM - 12:00PM **** Call *

If you're ready to clear out your garage through the world-wide garage sale, then it’s time to learn about eBay. This class will cover the process of listing an item for auction from start to finish, including taking and uploading photos. Learn the best practices of eBay and start selling!

Apr 11 (Wed) Microsoft Excel 2010 (Speadsheets) 1:00PM - 3:00PM **** Call *
 

Learn how to create effective spreadsheets for creating lists of information that can be sorted and stored, or a personal budget to track and manage your finances.  The basics will be covered including entering and changing data, simple formatting, adding numbers up, printing, and creating a simple chart.
